Who We Are
Who am I? There is a simple answer, and a complex answer. Here is a mix of both. Most importantly and fundamentally I am a Christian. God has transformed my life and is continuing to transform me into the image of Jesus Christ. I am trusting in Jesus alone for my righteous standing before God. Once I was alienated from God, and was His enemy. Now I am an adopted son, a new creation. This is not because I was smarter than others and chose the path of life. I was running against God, and was blind to the fac
t that I was running away from true joy and life, and straight toward death, sadness and punishment. He opened my eyes, and now I see. I am a disciple of Jesus, and He is my Lord. This is who I am.
This affects every area of my life. There is nothing in my life that is seperate from this identity. All of my work, study, play, and down time has to do with God. But don’t misunderstand me. I am by no means perfect. I frequently leave God out of situtations, and go my own way without giving Him a thought. I am a work in progress to be sure. This is the most important thing about me.
